• 2012 Annual Meeting and Education Schedule Announced

  The AMTA Massachusetts Chapter is pleased to announce the schedule for the 2012 Annual Meeting event. The Boston-Newton Marriott in Newton, Massachusetts will be the location for the weekend event on May 5 and 6. • Humanitarian Award, we need your Nominations!

  Do you know a Mass Chapter AMTA member who is doing great volunteer work?  Let's recognize that massage therapist! 

  The purpose of the Chapter Humanitarian Award is to openly honor an AMTA member and acknowledge the "heart" of massage. This award is presented annually at the Chapter Board's discretion.  To qualify, the recipient must contribute to the massage profession in an outstanding manner. They should perform volunteer work (which may or may not include massage) in the larger community, working with children, the disabled, needy, sick homeless, elderly, or some type of community outreach to populations for whom massage is otherwise difficult to obtain.

  Chapter President Mary White and IPP and Legislative Chair Richard Wedegartner testified on behalf of the chapter on Beacon Hill on Tuesday June 21.
