Class Description: Rhythms of the Body is a 7-hour hands-on class is a great opportunity to palpate and work with the subtle rhythms of the body: the breath, the heartbeat, the craniosacral rhythm, and other subtle rhythms. The class will be taught from a holistic manual therapy perspective that considers the therapist’s body as a sensor that is calibrated to perceive, interpret and respond to the client’s body state. Students will work with awareness of the client’s and the practitioner’s own rhythms during evaluation and treatment. Students will receive an overview of the rhythms of the body, and begin the process of learning to feel and work with these subtle and fascinating rhythms.

Instructor Bio: Dr. George Russell is a whole body specialist who helps clients solve physical problems and sustain health. He's taught thousands of students and mentored extensively over 30 years of teaching and advising. Dr. Russell practices "Deep Chiropractic", combining mobilizations, bodywork, movement, imagery, yoga, and anatomy. He revels in complexity and in rendering the complex simple and clear. "Doctor" means teacher or guide. Dr. Russell is a lifelong student and teacher whose teaching history includes Kripalu (the world's largest yoga school), Wesleyan, NYU's Atlantic Theater Co., Yale, the Iyengar Institute NY, the Swedish Institute, The New School, regional and national AMTA Conventions.

Cancellation Policy: The AMTA-MA Chapter has a no refund policy. We are happy to allow you to transfer your unused education credit to a future AMTA-MA Chapter event.
