2013 Annual Meeting & Education Weekend Schedule Announced

The AMTA-MA Chapter leadership is pleased to announce the schedule of events for the 2013 Annual Meeting and Education Weekend.

The event is to be held at the Sheraton in Needham, MA on May 4 and 5, 2013, and will include a variety of education options, a cocktail reception, a specialized student program, and the annual business meeting with complimentary lunch.

On Saturday May 4, two classes are being offered, both priced at $50 for AMTA-MA Chapter members or $100 for non-members. Introduction to Tragerâ„¢ Approach, taught by Cindy Popp-Hager. Tina Allen will be teaching The Many Benefits of Pediatric Massage. The leadership will host a Meet & Greet Cocktail Reception Saturday evening from 5:15-6:30pm. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be provided during this opportunity to meet and network with colleagues, presenters and event sponsors.

Sunday May 5 begins with a program especially for massage students, Kickstart! your new massage therapy practice. Industry veterans will share their knowledge and passion about the massage profession and how to be a success. The vendor hall, including a photographer to take professional head shots, opens at 10am. Complimentary lunch will be served at 11:30am, followed by the Annual Business Meeting with updates on massage legislation, AMTA-MA Chapter benefits, awards and elections. In addition, the first Dianne Polseno Student Scholarship Award winner will be announced. At 3pm Tina Allen will present Ethical Considerations in a Healthcare Environment, an NCB-approved course valid for 3 CE hours.
