Scoliosis: Theories and Practices
Sunday, April 12
8:30AM - 5:30PM
w/ one-hour lunch on your own
Instructor: George Russell
8 CEs

Course Description: People think of scoliosis as an incurable side-to-side deviation from symmetry that doesn’t correct when the person flexes their spine fully. That’s more or less true, but there’s much more to the story. LMTs can help so much to help symptoms associated with scoliosis, and even reduce the curves themselves. In this class, you’ll learn about 1) the causes of scoliosis, 2) neuromusculoskeletal features of its origin and progress, 3) how MDs define and approach the condition, 4) How to decrease symptoms and decrease curvatures, 5) Home care and education. Students are encouraged to take videos of demonstrated techniques.

Supplies Needed for the class: Bring a table and a pillowcase
