The AMTA-MA Chapter Dianne Polseno Scholarship Award is offered to assist eligible students in completing their education to become massage therapists and for the advancement of their massage therapy career. The AMTA-MA Chapter is a volunteer, member-driven association grounded in the promotion of education, legislative advocacy and consumer awareness. It is with these goals in mind that the Dianne Polseno Scholarship Award was developed.
Dianne Polseno made her life’s work about the ethical and educational advancement of the massage therapy profession. Dianne wrote a Q&A column on ethics for the AMTA’s Massage Therapy Journal, taught at the state and national level and was unwavering in her focus to improve the quality of massage.
The AMTA Mass Chapter Dianne Polseno Scholarship Award is offered to assist eligible students in completing their education to become massage therapists and for the advancement of their massage therapy career. There will be two recipients for the scholarship.
- 1st place: $1000 + one-year AMTA Graduate Membership
- 2nd place: $500 + one-year AMTA Graduate Membership
Applicants must be a Massachusetts resident, a currently enrolled student with a graduation date in the 2015 calendar year, and enrolled in a school licensed by Massachusetts Office of Private Occupational School Education.
The scholarship application can be found here and must be completed online and submitted by 5pm on April 10, 2015. No extensions will be made. The scholarship wil be awarded at the Annual Meeting on May 3, 2015.
