MESSAGE FROM YOUR AMTA-MA CHAPTER PRESIDENT

“As we watch the leaves fall, we are reminded that sometimes, letting go is necessary for growth. In the workplace, this might mean shedding old habits, outdated practices, or even fears that hold us back, making room for new opportunities and success.” ~ Unknown

We are thankful for you!

Hello AMTA-MA Chapter Members and Friends! I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the fall season which New England is well known for. As your President, I am thrilled to connect with you all as we embark on an exciting journey to enhance our professional development and networking experiences throughout the fall, winter, and spring of 2024-2025.

The Membership Committee has organized a few membership meetups around the Commonwealth for AMTA members and non-members to come together for opportunities to network and exchange ideas through this fall and winter season, in-person AND virtual. They are so excited to bring our community together in various ways. You are encouraged to join us for every opportunity you can.

We hosted a comprehensive kinesiology taping course instructed by Drew Freeman of Learn2Tape which will be held at the Rosebrook Event Center in Wareham. It was a blast!

The Chapter’s volunteers are working diligently on final touches for the Chapter’s Annual Membership Meeting and Education Conference scheduled for April 2025. Conference planning sessions are buzzing with enthusiasm, creativity, and a shared vision of taking our local chapter to new heights. To kick it off, the weekend will begin with a dinner comedy show featuring one of Boston’s top comedians and you won’t want to miss out! I can’t wait to share with you the outline of our April 2025 in-person event schedule once we solidify a few more details, designed to deliver outstanding continuing education and the return of Student Day with a Professional Development Summit which primarily will be geared toward the massage student/graduate but open for anyone to attend.

The focal point of our efforts lies in reestablishing and strengthening our network of like-minded professionals. We understand the value of fostering a community where knowledge sharing, collaboration, and camaraderie flourish.

As we head into the holiday season, I want to take a moment to say thanks. We are truly grateful to have you in our community and we look forward to serving you and keeping you connected to what matters most for years to come in the massage therapy profession.

Enjoy the holiday season and we will see you soon.

Be well,
Jessica N. Ferrer, Chapter President
