NCBTMB Certification Board Election Results Released

The NCBTMB is proud to announce members approved the slate of new Board Members to take office as of today, March 1st.

The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) is proud to announce that 95.8% of eligible members voting in the NCBTMB Certification Board Election approved the slate of new board members to take office on March 1, 2018.

The new board members are Kia H. Countess, DNP, MSN, RN, CNE, Nathan Nordstrom, LMT, LMP, BCTMB, Grant J. Rich, Ph.D., LMT, BCTMB, and Portia B. Resnick, Ph.D., ATC, LMT, BCTMB. They join current Certification Board President, Teresa M. Matthews, LMT, CPT, BCTMB.

“First, I would like to thank our members for showing great interest and taking the time to participate in this recent election,” commented Matthews. “The Slate Selection Commission worked diligently for many months leading up to this to ensure our new members met the high standards required of national board service. Our members’ overwhelming support these past two weeks validated such efforts. We welcome Kia, Nathan, Grant, and Portia to the Board, and look forward to the many great things we will accomplish together.”
