January 14, 2010 - Evanston, IL - The American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) extends its heartfelt sympathies to the people of Haiti and to their families and friends in North America. Recognizing that our members may be seeking ways to offer assistance to people affected by the earthquake on Tuesday, the association encourages contributions through international aid organization. The U.S. Aid website provides excellent information about how Americans can offer assistance.
"AMTA and our members have always demonstrated a desire to assist those affected by disasters," says AMTA President Judy Stahl. "At this time, the best support our members can provide is by individual donations through international aid organizations."
