President’s Message November 2015

Become What You Believe

I love the 21 Day Oprah/Chopra Meditation Challenges. They give you an opportunity to make a commitment to wellness and self care - a commitment that is pretty easy to keep because it is only three weeks! One began on November 2nd and the theme of this Challenge is Become What You Believe!

One of the centering thoughts is: My beliefs enhance my life. This is so true - what we believe about our relationships, our home and work life and our communities, really defines the energy that we bring to them all. We have the choice to bring positive, creative energy to each aspect of our lives. This extends to our AMTA volunteer life as well. Beliefs about the importance of teamwork, of contributing to the greater good and to improving the massage therapy profession here in Massachusetts, can and do enhance the lives of all those who volunteer.

I saw a quote recently on Facebook, ‘You can't pour from an empty cup, take care of yourself first.

On of the beliefs/visions that the MA Chapter leadership holds is our commitment to offering quality education workshops that enhance the skills and practices of all who attend. To this end, we are pleased to be organizing our second Education Conference and Annual Meeting! IDEA 2016 (In Depth Education for All) is coming together and promises to be an inspiring, informative and FUN weekend. Tons of details below - but suffice it to say, you will want to SAVE THE DATE and register early. Make the commitment to your practice and clients and enhance your skills and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF by joining us April 1-3, 2016 at the Sheraton in Needham! I hope to see many of you there-and to hearing more about the beliefs that enhance your professional lives.
