More than 60 massage therapists came to Northampton on Sunday September 9 for the Myofascial Scar Tissue massage class with Kate Peck and the chapter meeting.

Attendees raved about the great class and left the lunch meeting fully informed and excited about recent and upcoming Mass Chapter activities.

President Mary White spoke about the Massage Therapy Foundation's event to be held on Boston next year. The International Massage Therapy Research Conference will be at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center April 25-27, 2013. Those interested in volunteering at the event should see information here.

Nearly $2,000 has been raised for the Dianne Polseno Scholarship Fund so far, and more donations are encouraged! The first scholarship will be awarded at the Mass Chapter Annual Meeting in May, 2013.

New England Regional Conference will be March 14-17, 2013 at the Framingham Sheraton in Framingham, MA. The website is now up, we're pleased to see Mass Chapter members and volunteers Allissa Haines and Greg Hurd on the presenter slate, along with great educators from all over New England and the US.

Mary reviewed some of the benefits Mass Chapter members receive, above and beyond those offers by National AMTA. You can see the list of benefits on the website.

Membership Chair and 3rd VP Kelly Dalbec gave away heaps of door prizes, including a massage chair, generously donated by Massage Warehouse, to happy winner Frankie Chapman.

Head Delegate Greg Hurd spoke about the Delegates responsibilities at the National Convention, and why Positions Statements are important. Attendees discussed the ins and outs of some position statements and all were invited to read and comment on the blog series created by delegates.

Mary reminded everyone about the two days of top-notch education with a chapter meeting being held December 1 & 2 on Cape Cod, and closed the meeting.
