Time to Dominate and Nominate in 2018!

We are now accepting nominations for our Chapter Awards! All Chapter Award recipients will be honored at our Annual Chapter Meeting on Sunday, April 8. The Humanitarian Award and Chapter Meritorious Award will be considered for a National Award. Nominations for all awards can be made by the AMTA-MA Chapter Board, Program Chairs and general membership - that's you! So here is your chance to nominate someone you feel is deserving of an award. Meritorious Award

The Chapter Meritorious Award is given to a candidate that has exemplified above and beyond service to the Chapter and is nominated by the existing Chapter Board, Program Chairs and general membership. This candidate is dedicated, efficient, and a team player. The award recipient will not only be forwarded to the AMTA National Board for consideration as a National Award Winner, but will be invited to the AMTA National Convention in August 2018 being held in Washington, DC, as our guest, and will have the opportunity to be congratulated and recognized at the National level during the Convention Opening Ceremony!

Humanitarian Award

The Humanitarian Award is given to a member who is involved in volunteer work, which may or may not include massage, done in the larger community. Including but not limited to: charity, church, supporting the arts, working with children, disabled, needy, sick, homeless, elderly, community outreach to populations for who massage is otherwise difficult to obtain; fundraising for same, consciousness raising, relief efforts, or continues to make an impact on the quality of life through massage therapy. Nominations are considered from the current Chapter Board, Program Chairs and general membership. The recipient’s name will be forwarded to the AMTA National Board for consideration as a National Award winner!

Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service Award is given to an individual who has made a significant impact on the massage therapy profession. This can be through research, educational advances, or through charitable service. This individual can be a Massage Therapist or a professional affiliate that partners with our profession.

Volunteer of the Year Award

This award is given at the grassroots level to a member and chapter volunteer who continues to work tirelessly without hesitation or recognition.

In addition to these awards, The President's Award will be given to an individual who has been a pillar of support to the President in some remarkable way.
