The recipients of the Humanitarian and Meritorious Awards will be awarded at IDEA 2016 during our Annual Chapter Meeting on Sunday, April 3 and considered for a National Award to be honored at the AMTA National Convention October 26-29 being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The recipients of the Volunteer of the Year Award and Distinguished Service Award will be awarded at IDEA 2016 during our Annual Chapter Meeting on Sunday, April 3. Nominations for these awards can be made my the AMTA-MA Chapter Board of Directors, Program Directors and general membership - that's you! The Chapter Meritorious Award is given to a candidate that has exemplified above and beyond service to the Chapter and is nominated by the existing Chapter Board of Directors, Program Directors and general membership. This candidate is dedicated, efficient, and a team player. The award recipient will not only be forwarded to the AMTA National Board for consideration as a National Award Winner, but will be invited to the AMTA National Convention October 26-29 being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as our guest, and will have the opportunity to be congratulated and recognized at the National level during the Convention Opening Ceremony!

The Humanitarian Award is given to a member who has made, or continues to make an impact on the quality of life through massage therapy. Nominations are considered from the current Board Of Directors, Program Directors and general membership. The recipient’s name will be forwarded to the AMTA National Board for consideration as a National Award winner!
This award is given at the grassroots level to a member and chapter volunteer who continues to work tirelessly without hesitation or recognition.
The Distinguished Service Award is given to an individual who has made a significant impact on the massage therapy profession. This can be through research, educational advances, or through charitable service. This individual can be a Massage Therapist or a professional affiliate that partners with our profession.
Mentor of the Year - coming 2017!
This award will be given to someone who has selflessly given back to the massage therapy profession by sharing, supporting, and encouraging new and established massage therapists. This can be through advising, listening, and problem-solving, business and hands-on training.
In addition to these awards, The President's Award will be given to an individual who has been a pillar of support to the President in some remarkable way.
