Using AMTA's Find a Massage Therapist feature

Published: July 22, 2012

Are you an AMTA Professional member? In less than 10 minutes you can make it easy for potential clients to find you. Really.

One of my favorite benefits of membership is a listing on the Find A Massage Therapist site. I get a handful of new clients every year just from that listing (pssttt, that totally covers the cost for my annual membership, and then some). Even better, the clients that come to me are educated, discerning consumers looking for quality massage. I get a great client, and they get a professional, well-regarded massage therapist. It's win/win, and it's free with your professional membership.

While I've always found it useful, many members don't take advantage of the listing. Sometimes tasks get away from us. Sometimes we can't figure out how to log in, or can't find the right button to click.

We've solved that issue right here. In 8 minutes, you can see exactly how to add and/or update your listing. And just for fun I threw in a little savvy marketing advice in there, too. (Hint, a professional headshot is awesome.)

Why is this so important now?

AMTA has begun a huge consumer awareness campaign! They've got a team traveling the country and coordinating massage at all sorts of events, check out this one in Lowell, Massachusetts!

They are heavily promoting the Find a Massage Therapist feature, and the spiffier your listing is, the more clients you will get from it.

Still scared? Check out the little video below. You can do it. I believe in you.
